When I fell asleep last night England had the Aussies on 88 for 5,so I fully expected to wake up to find us having a first innings lead,but Oh DEAR,no more wickets and they are over 200 in front.
At least we have a lovely sunny day for a change,after the dark,damp last three days!
My lovely lady dentist was so GOOD;Now I really can plan for the upcoming week.It really is cold here(the damp sort of cold).But Hell!
We have the most un-Christmas-like weather,with frost and fog,but at least Classic FM are creating the right spirit.
Once I get over my final dentistry on thursday(for 6months anyway)I will have to make a somewhat sizeable shopping list for friday,to cover what looks like a very long weekend(never was happy with frozen meat!).
As expected:3 down with 2 to go!
While KP is still there,there is always hope,but Fred & Jones will have to find some improved form with the bat!
Gilchrist really went wild,scoring an amazingly fast century;it looks as though the ashes will be back in Aussie hands by tomorrow night!
I have just found this wonderful photo on the BBC ARKive website--what a terrible shame if these creatures become extinct in 30 or 40 years because of the disappearing ice!
Pleasantly surprized,as Eng bowl the Aussies out and Monty takes 5 wickets.If only they can do it with the bat tomorrow?
Whereas the last test was a "must not lose",this one really is a "must win",having lost 2 wth 3 to go.
Freddie says it will be the biggest match of their careers,but it seems an impossible task now!
There was a frost this morning,so maybe we WILL have a winter this year-so far the weather has been typical of of early spring!
